It's a beautiful morning here in Illinois. Cold but beautiful. I zipped out and took a picture of the skimmer, and some bonus pics. If you look closely you can see my fish. I promise I will not send any more pictures, but it's like having a new baby, you just want to share.

This is a my pond that I built in my back yard it is 25ft X 15ft x 3ft deep cascading water falls is 12 ft long.Has a 10' x 10' deck with a two seat bench for viewing the fish & relaxing. this whole set up is just below my main decks

Graham's Pond 1

Pond was built at least 5 + years ago.

Size is +/- 1200 gal.

The original pump lasted about two years and had it replaced by a larger pump. Can’t remember make.

I clean my skimmer once a week and use algae fix once a year.

Ecosystem is great, have gold fish, plants, frogs, snails etc.

My Koi were taken away twice by a blue heron that does not like gold fish. I gave up on koi after the incident.

We finally finished our pond! We absolutely love it. My husband says that when he can't find me, all he has to do is look by the pond. It is so relaxing. It has been over 100 degrees here in Memphis this week, but we are still inviting folks over and no one seems to mind the heat...its really crazy!

We live on 2 wooded acres. This part of the backyard used to be mostly dirt and trees. Grass never grew well. In June, we took out 4 trees and added the decks. This helped us finally visualize where we wanted a pond. With the decks, the pond, the flower beds, and the walkways we can truly go out back and enjoy our yard!
